Clean up your own neighbor-hood, a beach, the road to work or another dirty place on Curaçao. Try to determine how many volunteers you need for that area.

Make a team

2nd step

Form a team with friends, class mates, your sports club, colleagues or send a message in your neighborhood WhatsApp group.

These important safety recommendations should be shared with all your cleanup participants before commencing the cleanup activity. Also included is a useful list of things to check when visiting the site before your cleanup day.

Team captains should always commence the cleanup with an onsite briefing for their participants. Here is a handy ‘cheat sheet’ to help you along, it contains briefing notes and guidelines for recording data.

DATA CARDS

Download and print these standardised data cards (Coastal, Country or City) to record information on what you collect during the cleanup. We urge all teams to be as detailed and accurate as possible in this citizen science activity, to help us better understand the issue and engage partners in solutions. Please note: ALL cleanups are requested to complete and return data cards. Once your cleanup is finished, you must return your data using our online form.

CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION

Upon completing a cleanup event, participants may download and customize a certificate to acknowledge their participation.
